Fear is one helluva drug. It poisons you, causes damage to your physical and mental well being, imbalances you and wastes energy, and all for what?
Now I'm not talking about the type of fear you may experience if you're in a situation where such a feeling prompts you to get out of it for the sake of your life, but the fear, usually accompanied by it's best friend anxiety, of things yet to come which usually ends up never happening.
I've put myself in such situations too many times to count, it's like my thoughts go into fear/anxiety autopilot over the silliest things. I blame past experiences and genetics for this. I work on controlling it but tend to have slip ups every now and again, hee...hee, hey don't we all? It's definitely a work in progress I know I can and will overcome. I know a number of people experience these feelings from time to time whether if it's fear about bills, work, school, basically any effects that come with society and simply just living.
One great tactic to all of this is truly living in the moment, becoming aware that you are alive and experiencing life at this very moment. The feel of your heart beating and the fact that you are breathing. All these fears of what's to come don't apply in the moment and rarely ever come to fruition. Knowing that we are strong beings who are in control gives us realization of the power we truly have and there is nothing that will be presented to us that we cannot handle ♡
